Kazakhstan D1 round 7 best performance: Olga Aksenova (by Hoops Agents)

Russian Olga Aksenova (187-C/F-1996) put on an amazing game in the last round for Okzhetpes Kokshetay, receiving a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 7.
The 28-year old player had a double-double of 22 points and 17 rebounds, while her team beat Turan (#4, 5-5) 71-57. The game was between two of the league's top four teams. Thanks to this victory Okzhetpes moved-up to the 3rd position in Kazakhstan D1. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. Okzhetpes will need more victories to improve their 5-3 record. In the team's last game Aksenova had a remarkable 66.7% from 2-point range. She turned to be Okzhetpes' top player in her first season with the team. Olga Aksenova has solid league stats. She is in league's top in points (5th best: 13.0ppg), rebounds (2nd best: 9.6rpg), assists (9th best: 4.3apg) and averages impressive 1.8bpg.

The second best player in last round's games was young Georgian Tamar Papuashvili (180-PF-2003) of league's second-best Caspiy Aktau. Papuashvili is well-known at Caspiy Aktau and is a proven leader in her second season with the team. She belongs to the best scorers in the league with 13.2ppg (#4). Her other stats are also decent: 5.6rpg and 4.3apg.

Third on the list of top players last round was another Caspiy Aktau's star - Belarusian forward Aliaksandra Chyzheuskaya (185-PF-2002). Chyzheuskaya showcased her all-around game by recording 19 points, 12 rebounds (!!!) and 7 assists in the last round. She was another key player of Caspiy Aktau, helping her team with a 85-63 easy win against the lower-ranked Irtysh (#5, 2-6). Caspiy Aktau needs these victories very badly if they think about taking over top position in the standings. Their record at this point is 6 victories and 4 lost games. Chyzheuskaya has a great season in Kazakhstan. After 10 games, she made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 14.6ppg (best scorer), rebounds with 9.5rpg (3rd best) and assists with 5.0apg (6th best). She also has 3.3spg and a FGP of 58.4%.
