The game had a very big importance for second-ranked Astana Tigers as it allowed them to take a leadership position. Astana Tigers defeated 4th placed Caspiy Aktau at home 68-59. Astana Tigers outrebounded Caspiy Aktau 42-29 including a 30-18 advantage in defensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was the former international guard Anastassiya Alishauskayte-Lopatina (173-1988) who scored 23 points and 6 assists. Ukrainian power forward Ganna Rulyova (183-1986, agency: BIG) chipped in 7 points, 15 rebounds and 6 assists. Astana Tigers' coach Vitaliy Strebkov used an eleven-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Belarusian Aliaksandra Chyzheuskaya (185-2002) produced a double-double by scoring 24 points and 11 rebounds for the guests. As mentioned above they are alone now at the top position. Caspiy Aktau at the other side keeps the fourth place with four games lost. They share the position with Irtysh. Caspiy Aktau will play next round against strong Turan trying to get back on the winning streak. Astana Tigers will try to continue on its current victory against second ranked Okzhetpes in Kokshetay.

International Dilnaz Yerkebay (179-2003) orchestrated the victory by scoring 26 points and 7 assists (on 81-of-41 shooting from the field). Xeniya Abdurashitova contributed with 20 points and 4 assists (on 60-of-68 shooting from the field) for the winners. Forward Ulyana Kudrevtseva (175-1999) answered with 13 points and 8 assists (on 62-of-29 shooting from the field) for Aktobe. Irtysh moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Caspiy Aktau. Aktobe lost sixth consecutive game. They stay at the bottom position with seven games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
