Best players of Kazakhstan Higher League round 2 (by Hoops Agents)

Experienced Aleksei Vereshagin (200-F-1992) put on an amazing game in the last round for MBK Kazygurt Shymkent and that's him to receive a Hoops Agents Higher League Player of the Week award for round 2.
The 32-year old forward had a double-double of 20 points and 16 rebounds, while his team crushed, the league's bottom-ranked team Tigers-KazATU (#5, 0-2) with 21-point margin 85-64. Thanks to this victory Shymkent moved-up to the 3rd position in Kazakhstan Higher League. But it's just the very beginning of the season and Shymkent won both games without losing any. It's too early to say anything as the standings can be changed completely after next round. In the team's last game Vereshagin had a remarkable 62.5% from 2-point range. He has many years of experience at Shymkent, through which he has constantly improved. Vereshagin has impressive league stats. He is in league's top in points (4th best: 20.5ppg), rebounds (5th best: 10.0rpg) and averages solid 5.5spg and 70.6% FGP.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was young Begzod Mammatrimov (198-C/F-2004) of second-ranked Turan. Mammatrimov impressed basketball fans with a double-double of 16 points and 15 rebounds. Of course he led Turan to another comfortable win outscoring Champ1on (0-3) 102-45. A very good start of the season for his team, which won so far all 3 games without any defeat. Mammatrimov is well-known by Turan fans and he already established his position as one of team's most reliable players.

The third best performed player last round was another Shymkent's star - Artem Parfenov (198-F-1998). Parfenov scored 19 points and grabbed 18 rebounds (!!!). He was another key player of MBK Kazygurt Shymkent, helping his team with a 85-64 easy win against Tigers-KazATU (#5, 0-2). Shymkent has a very good start of the season. But there were just 2 games played, so it's too early to judge them at this stage. Parfenov also has a very good start of the season with very strong stats. Parfenov has a great season in Kazakhstan. After only 2 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 17.0ppg (7th best), rebounds with 10.5rpg (4th best) and assists with 3.5apg (7th best).
