The former international guard Maksim Marchuk (195-1994) notched a triple-double by scoring 24 points, 16 rebounds, 12 assists and 4 steals to lead the effort and Roman Marchuk supported him with 18 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists. Even 17 points, 8 rebounds and 9 assists by the former international point guard Shaim Kuanov (181-1991) did not help to save the game for Tobol. Caspiy Aktau will play against Astana Ac. at home in the next round. Tobol will have a break next round.
Very important is a road loss of Irbis against Barsy Atyrau on Saturday night. Visiting Irbis were defeated by Barsy Atyrau in a tough game in Atyrau 67-74. The best player for the winners was Aamer Muhammad who scored 21 points, 5 rebounds and 9 assists. Barsy Atyrau's coach Alexandr Lyssyak used an eleven-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Jalon Perry produced 25 points for the guests. Barsy Atyrau will meet Aktobe on the road in the next round. Irbis will have a break next round.
