Aktobe (D1) confirmed in their roster 30-year old Russian center Aleksandra Varaksina (190cm-83kg-1993) for upcoming 2024-25 season. She played there last season. In 30 Kazakhstan games she had 7.0ppg, 8.8rpg, 2.8apg and 1.2spg. She helped them to win the regular season and make it to the final. 2023-24 was a great year as she was named to Asia-Basket.com All-Kazakhstan League Honorable Mention.
The previous (2022-23) season she played at another Kazakhstan team Tomiris Almaty.
Varaksina represented Russia at the World University Games in Taipei (Taiwan) seven years ago. Her team got to the Semifinals and she had 2 points per game.
She has played previously also in Russia (Dynamo Novosibirsk Region, Dynamo Moscow, Enisey, Dynamo Novosibirsk Region Second Team and Novocherkassk).
Among many awards she was voted Asia-Basket.com All-Kazakhstan League Center of the Year in 2022.
