Rulyova is back at Astana Tigers

Astana Tigers-KazATU (D1) signed experienced 38-year old Ukrainian ex-international power forward Ganna Rulyova (183cm-87kg-1986, agency: BIG) for upcoming 2024-25 season. It is actually her comeback to Astana as she has played here before. She has played for the last two seasons at Turan in the D1. In 33 Kazakhstan games she was the best scorer with impressive 20.0ppg and averaged 13.2rpg (leader !!!), 4.0apg and 1.4spg last season. She helped them to win the League title (three times) despite they ended the regular season at the second place. 2023-24 was a great season as she was voted Asia-Basket.com All-Kazakhstan League Player of the Year, Finals MVP and Forward of the Year.
Rulyova was also a member of the Ukrainian international program for some years. She played for Ukrainian Senior National Team between 2008 and 2022 and previously for the Under 20 National Team in 2006.
Rulyova also represented Ukraine at the Qualifications to European Championship (FIBA EuroBasket) 2017 eight years ago. During this event she scored an average of 11.8 points per game and had 5.3 rebounds per game.
She is quite experienced player. Rulyova has played also in Cyprus, Israel (Elitzur Ramla), Poland (TS Ostrovia Ostrow Wielkopolski and MKK Siedlce), Ukraine (Kozachka, Tim-Scuf, Olimp-NAEK Yuzhnoukrainsk, Frankivsk and Regina-Basket Bar) and Armenia (Hatis).
She is close to retirement age as a player. It's very possible she may end her playing career at Astana Tigers.
