BK Barsy Atyrau (National League) re-signed 24-year-old 183cm point guard Merey Uapov for the upcoming season. He played there last season. In 36 Kazakhstan games, he recorded 3.3ppg, 1.1rpg, and 2.1apg. He helped them to make it to the Kazakhstan League final after they ended the regular season as the second-best team. The previous (2022-23) season he played at another Kazakhstan team.
Uapov has played previously for BK Barsy Atyrau 2nd team.
Uapov's team won the Kazakhstan Cup in 2022.
