James Murray-Boyles (ex Crailsheim) agreed terms with Astana

James Murray-Boyles

BK Astana (National League) strengthened their roster with the addition of 27-year-old American 200cm forward James Murray-Boyles (college: UNCP, agency: Players Group) for the 2024-25 season. He played most recently at HAKRO Merlins Crailsheim in the German BBL league. In 32 games, he recorded 11.4ppg, 4.9rpg, and 1.4apg last season. He was voted to Eurobasket.com All-German Bundesliga Honorable Mention for his performance. In the previous (2022-23) season, he played at (Basketligan) in the Swedish league. The team competed in three different competitions that year, allowing Murray-Boyles to experience basketball at various levels. He played 44 games in the Swedish Basketligan, averaging 10.6ppg, 4.6rpg, and 1.0apg. Murray-Boyles contributed to the team's league title and cup victory. Additionally, he played 5 games in the FIBA Europe Cup, where he averaged 13.2ppg, 5.4rpg, and 1.0apg.
Murray-Boyles is a very experienced player. He has played professionally in Austria (Dukes), Slovakia (Lucenec), and Sweden.
Murray-Boyles graduated from UNC Pembroke in 2019 and it'll be his sixth season in pro basketball.
