Strangely Aktobe outrebounded Turan 35-21 including 23 on the defensive glass. They shot the lights out from three sinking 14 long-distance shots on high 51.9 percentage. Turan looked well-organized offensively handing out 28 assists. Ukrainian power forward Ganna Rulyova (183-1986, agency: BIG) stepped up and scored 29 points and 7 rebounds (on 10-of-13 shooting from the field) for the winners and Armenian guard Inga Manucharyan (177-2000) chipped in 18 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists. At the losing side American guard Emily Lytle (180-1997, college: Virginia Tech) responded with 18 points and 6 assists and Russian center Aleksandra Varaksina (190-1993) scored 6 points and 14 rebounds. Four Aktobe players scored in double figures. Aktobe's coach Ilya Rodionov rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help.

Astana Tigers players were unselfish on offense dishing 23 assists. The former international center Anna Bezgodova (192-1992) nailed 8 points and 8 rebounds for the winning side and the former international forward Zalina Kurazova (185-1985) accounted for 13 points and 4 assists. Four Astana Tigers players scored in double figures. Astana Tigers' coach Vitaliy Strebkov allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Swingman Shahida Erlan (177-2008) came up with 15 points and 5 rebounds and guard Adelya Mustafina (175-2006) added 13 points and 4 assists respectively for Tomiris in the defeat.
