Tomiris - Aktobe 46-84

Aktobe dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to Tomiris' 26. Aktobe forced 22 Tomiris turnovers and outrebounded them 40-25 including 29 on the defensive glass. Aktobe looked well-organized offensively handing out 33 assists comparing to just 14 passes made by Tomiris' players. It was a great evening for American guard Emily Lytle (180-1997, college: Virginia Tech) who led her team to a victory scoring 29 points and 6 rebounds. Russian power forward Daria Polnikova (188-1994) helped adding 19 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. The best for the losing side was point guard Altynshash Zinabdin (165-1999) with 9 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists and power forward Aruzhan Askerova (182-1999) scored 12 points and 5 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games.

Turan - Astana Tigers 71-50

Turan forced 19 Astana Tigers turnovers. It was an exceptional evening for Ukrainian power forward Ganna Rulyova (183-1986, agency: BIG) who led the winners and scored 15 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists. American forward Jnaya Walker (185-1999, college: CMU) accounted for 18 points for the winning side. Four Turan players scored in double figures. The former international center Anna Bezgodova (192-1992) came up with 15 points and 9 rebounds and the former international forward Zalina Kurazova (185-1985) added 9 points and 6 rebounds respectively for Astana Tigers in the defeat. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.
