Aktobe - Tomiris 69-60

Aktobe looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists. American guard Emily Lytle (180-1997, college: Virginia Tech) scored 21 points and 5 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and the former international point guard Liya Umerova (166-2002) chipped in 10 points and 6 assists during the contest. Power forward Aruzhan Askerova (182-1999) responded with 17 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) and guard Adelya Mustafina (175-2006) scored 20 points and 5 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.

Armenian guard Inga Manucharyan (177-2000) notched 23 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists to lead the effort and Ukrainian power forward Ganna Rulyova (183-1986, agency: BIG) supported her with 8 points and 15 rebounds. Even 15 points and 8 rebounds by the former international forward Tamara Kuzmina-Yagodkina (182-1990) did not help to save the game for Astana Tigers. The former international forward Zalina Kurazova (185-1985) added 9 points and 7 rebounds for the hosts. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest.
