Aktobe - Tomiris 66-26

Aktobe held Tomiris to an opponent 20.0 percent shooting from the field compared to 33.3 percent accuracy of the winners. Aktobe forced 32 Tomiris turnovers and outrebounded them 51-26 including a 27-8 advantage in offensive rebounds. Aktobe players were unselfish on offense dishing 25 assists comparing to just 7 passes made by Tomiris' players. American guard Emily Lytle (180-1997, college: Virginia Tech) nailed 16 points and 7 rebounds for the winning side and the former international guard Oksana Bagmet (170-1996) accounted for 14 points and 7 assists. Power forward Aruzhan Askerova (182-1999) came up with 6 points and 8 rebounds and guard Adelya Mustafina (175-2006) added 8 points respectively for Tomiris in the defeat. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games.

Astana Tigers - Turan 70-62

Astana Tigers dominated down low during the game scoring 44 of its points in the paint compared to Turan's 20. Astana Tigers forced 21 Turan turnovers and outrebounded them 41-28 including 29 on the defensive glass. 27 personal fouls committed by Turan helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. The former international forward Tamara Kuzmina-Yagodkina (182-1990) stepped up and scored 16 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners and the former international center Anna Bezgodova (192-1992) chipped in 10 points and 11 rebounds. Four Astana Tigers players scored in double figures. At the losing side Ukrainian power forward Ganna Rulyova (183-1986, agency: BIG) responded with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 11 rebounds and Armenian guard Inga Manucharyan (177-2000) scored 19 points and 4 assists (made all of her seven free throws). Turan's coach Vitaliy Lopatin rotated eleven players in this game, but that didn't help.
