Tomiris outrebounded Okzhetpes 51-30 including a 19-7 advantage in offensive rebounds. 25 personal fouls committed by Okzhetpes helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Ukrainian Elizaveta Mitina (171-1998) scored 32 points and 8 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and chipped in 10 points, 14 rebounds and 4 assists during the contest. The former international power forward Nadezhda Yakovleva (183-2003) responded with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 11 rebounds and Russian guard Ulyana Titova (168-2003) scored 15 points and 8 assists.

Even 13 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists by point guard Alexandra Petelina (168-1998) did not help to save the game for Caspiy Aktau. Russian guard Alina Shakirova (170, college: UNBC) added 15 points and 9 rebounds for the hosts. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.

The former international guard Anastassiya Alishauskayte-Lopatina (173-1988) chipped in 11 points and 6 assists. Four Astana Tigers players scored in double figures. American forward Katelynn Thomas (183, college: UAB) produced 12 points and 5 rebounds and point guard Xeniya Abdurashitova (168-2001) added 8 points and 6 assists respectively for the hosts. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games.
