Tomiris outrebounded Okzhetpes 51-30 including a 19-7 advantage in offensive rebounds. 25 personal fouls committed by Okzhetpes helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Ukrainian Elizaveta Mitina (171-1998) scored 32 points and 8 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and chipped in 10 points, 14 rebounds and 4 assists during the contest. The former international power forward Nadezhda Yakovleva (183-2003) responded with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 11 rebounds and Russian guard Ulyana Titova (168-2003) scored 15 points and 8 assists.
