Best players of Kazakhstan Higher League round 24 (by Hoops Agents)

Anuar Shakirov (180-PG-2000) had a great game in the last round for league's leader MBK Kazygurt Shymkent and that's him to receive a Hoops Agents Higher League Player of the Week award for round 24.
The 23-year old playmaker had the game-high 44 points adding nine rebounds and six assists for Shymkent in his team's victory, helping them to beat Tigers-KazATU (#2, 20-4) 90-81. The game was between two of the league's top four teams. It allowed Shymkent to consolidate first place in the Kazakhstan Higher League. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. Shymkent has a very solid 22-6 record, but they cannot be too comfortable about keeping top position. Shakirov has many years of experience at Shymkent, through which he has constantly improved. Shakirov has impressive league stats. He is league's best scorer averaging so far 25.1ppg. Shakirov is in league's top in assists (4th best: 6.5apg).

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was young power forward Maksim Nalogov (198-F/C-1994) of MBK Bars Petropavlovsk. Nalogov impressed basketball fans with 31 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists. Of course Bars cruised to a 81-73 relatively comfortable win over slightly lower-ranked ChelSU (#6, 8-18). Bars' 4th position in the standings has not changed. His team's 17-9 record is not bad at all. Nalogov is one of the most experienced players at Bars and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 23.7ppg (#2). His other stats are also decent: 10.0rpg and 4.9apg.

The third best performed player last round was Temirlan Dzhunusov (192-G/F-1999) of second-ranked Astana Tigers-KazATU. Dzhunusov scored 23 points and passed 4 assists. Despite Dzhunusov's great performance the Tigers-KazATU lost 81-90 to #1 ranked Shymkent. But his team cannot count on just a single player as he also needs help of the other teammates especially in such crucial game. Dzhunusov has a very solid season. In 21 games in Kazakhstan he scored 15.7ppg.

10. Dmitriy Luchko (193-G-1997) of ChelSU - 13 points, 8 rebounds and 3 assists
