Kazakhstan National League round 27 best performance: Anton Bykov (by Hoops Agents)

International Forward Anton Bykov (200-F-1989) put on an amazing game in the last round for MBK Tobol Kostanay, receiving a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 27.
The 34-year old player had a double-double of 26 points and 24 rebounds, while his team edged out Aktobe (#3, 17-11) 91-87. The game was between two of the league's top four teams. Tobol maintains the 4th position in Kazakhstan National League. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. Tobol will need more victories to improve their 16-10 record. In the team's last game Bykov had a remarkable 64.3% from 2-point range. He has many years of experience at Tobol, through which he has constantly improved. Anton Bykov has solid league stats. He is in league's top in points (2nd best: 18.0ppg), rebounds (2nd best: 11.2rpg) and averages impressive 61.2% FGP.

The second best player in last round's games was young American Vante Hendrix (196-G-1998, agency: Interperformances) of Aktobe. Hendrix had a very good evening with 31 points, 4 rebounds and 3 assists. Bad luck as Aktobe was edged by slightly lower-ranked Tobol (#4, 16-10) 91-87. It was definitely game of the week between two contenders to the title. Aktobe still maintains its place in the top 3 of the standings, even despite this loss. His team's 17-11 record is not bad at all. Hendrix is a newcomer at Aktobe, but is already one of team's top players.

Third on the list of top players last round was another Tobol's star - Russian forward Dmitriy Doynikov (204-PF-1994). Doynikov showcased his all-around game by recording 24 points, 11 rebounds (!!!) and 6 assists in the last round. Despite Doynikov's great performance the MBK Tobol Kostanay lost 88-95 to #3 ranked Aktobe. But his team cannot count on just these two top stars as they also need help of the other teammates especially in such crucial game. The last thing Tobol needs is to lose another game like this one. They lose more and more distance to the top teams. Their record is 16 victories and 10 lost games. Doynikov has a great season in Kazakhstan. After 23 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 17.3ppg (5th best) and rebounds with 8.1rpg (7th best).
