Kazakhstan D1 round 15 best performance: Ganna Rulyova (by Hoops Agents)

Ukrainian Power forward Ganna Rulyova (183-F/C-1986, agency: BIG) had a very impressive game in the last round for top-ranked Turan Turkestan, receiving a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 15.
The 37-year old player had a double-double of 31 points and 17 rebounds, while her team crushed Tomiris (#4, 11-9) with 19-point margin 82-63. The game was between two of the league's top four teams. It allowed Turan to consolidate first place in the Kazakhstan D1. Turan have a solid 16-3 record. In the team's last game Rulyova had a remarkable 69.2% from 2-point range. It's her second year at Turan and it's hard to imagine this team without her. Ganna Rulyova has solid league stats. She is league's best scorer averaging so far 22.4ppg and leads league in rebounds with 13.7rpg. Rulyova is in league's top in and averages impressive 57.3% FGP.

The second best player in last round's games was Russian Alina Shakirova (170-G) of Caspiy Aktau. Shakirova had a very good evening with 21 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists. Of course Caspiy Aktau cruised to a 99-91 relatively comfortable win over slightly lower-ranked Irtysh (#7, 4-16). This victory allowed Caspiy Aktau to move up to 5th position in the standings. Her team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 8-11 record. Shakirova is a newcomer at Caspiy Aktau, but is already one of team's top players.

Third on the list of top players last round was Russian forward Yana Kotova (185-F-1988) of Tomiris Almaty (#4). Kotova showcased her all-around game by recording 16 points, 17 rebounds (!!!) and 5 assists in the last round. Despite Kotova's great performance the Tomiris lost 63-82 to #1 ranked Turan. But her team cannot count on just a single player as she also needs help of the other teammates especially in such crucial game. The last thing Tomiris needs is to lose another game like this one. They lose more and more distance to the top teams. Their record is 11 victories and 9 lost games. Kotova has a great season in Kazakhstan. After 20 games, she made it on the list of the league's leaders in rebounds with 11.9rpg (2nd best).
