Mitina's double-double lands her Player of the Week award

25-year old Ukrainian shooting guard Elizaveta Mitina (171-SG-1998) had a great game in the last round for Tomiris Almaty and receives a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 14.
She got a double-double of 37 points and 10 assists, while her team edged out Caspiy Aktau (#6, 7-11) 86-85. Tomiris maintains the 4th position in Kazakhstan D1. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. Tomiris will need more victories to improve their 10-8 record. In the team's last game Mitina had a remarkable 61.1% from 2-point range. It's her second year at Tomiris and it's hard to imagine this team without her. Mitina has impressive league stats. She is in league's top in points (3rd best: 18.3ppg) and averages solid 2.1spg.

Second best performed player last round was Yana Kotova (185-F-1988). She is Russian forward in her first season at Tomiris. In the last game Kotova recorded an impressive double-double of 25 points and 14 rebounds. It was enough for Tomiris Almaty to edge slightly lower-ranked Caspiy Aktau (#6, 7-11) by 1 point 86-85. Tomiris' 4th position in the standings has not changed. Her team's 10-8 record is not bad at all. Kotova is a newcomer at Tomiris and quickly became one of team's most reliable players.

Third place about best performers goes to forward Ganna Rulyova (183-F/C-1986, agency: BIG) of league's second-best Turan Turkestan. Rulyova showcased her all-around game by recording 24 points, 13 rebounds (!!!) and 7 assists in the last round. She was a key player of Turan, leading her team to a 65-62 win against the lower-ranked Okzhetpes (#5, 8-11). Turan is closer and closer to top of the standings. They will still need more victories. But 15-3 record is not that bad... Rulyova has a great season in Kazakhstan. After 18 games, she made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 21.9ppg (best scorer) and rebounds with 13.6rpg (#1 in league).
