Irbis looked well-organized offensively handing out 29 assists. American point guard Marcus Myers (185-1996, college: Aurora, agency: Octagon Europe) fired 21 points, 6 rebounds and 9 assists for the winners. The former international forward Nikolay Bazhin (198-1990) chipped in 18 points, 9 rebounds, 6 assists and 4 steals. Russian Dmitriy Doynikov (204-1994) produced 15 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists for lost side. Tobol's coach Timur Sultanov rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Irbis have an impressive 16-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 21-1 record. Tobol at the other side keeps the third place with eight games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.

It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Almaty L.. Jamaure Gregg had a double-double by scoring 33 points (!!!) and 11 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners. Barsy Atyrau's coach Tigran Gyokchyan used an eleven-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the losing side Keshon Tabb responded with 25 points and 4 assists. Barsy Atyrau maintains second position with 15-7 record having six points less than leader Irbis. Newly promoted Almaty L. keeps the sixth place with 13 games lost. Barsy Atyrau will meet bottom-ranked Irtysh (#8) in the next round where they are favorite. Almaty L. will play against Aktobe and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

There was no surprise in Pavlodar where 8th ranked Irtysh (1-20) was crushed by second ranked Barsy Atyrau (15-7) 92-69 on Friday. Barsy Atyrau forced 24 Irtysh turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 29 assists comparing to just 10 passes made by Irtysh's players. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Barsy Atyrau made 7 blocks. Bogdan Rabchenyuk (188-2003) scored 12 points, 9 rebounds and 9 assists to lead the charge for the winners and forward Abat Marat (180-2005) chipped in 18 points and 4 assists during the contest. Five Barsy Atyrau players scored in double figures.
