The game had a very big importance for second-ranked Astana Tigers as it allowed them to take a leadership position. Astana Tigers smashed 7th ranked Irtysh at home 89-51. Astana Tigers forced 23 Irtysh turnovers. The former international forward Tamara Kuzmina-Yagodkina (182-1990) fired 25 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Astana Tigers have a solid series of three victories in a row. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with Turan. Loser Tomiris keep the fourth place with eight games lost.
