Surkova's double-double lands her Player of the Week award

22-year old Russian swingman Daria Surkova (176-F/G-2001) had an amazing evening in the last round for Okzhetpes Kokshetay and receives a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 11.
She had a double-double of 38 points and 12 rebounds, while her team outclassed Caspiy Aktau (#5, 6-7) with 39-point margin 109-70. Okzhetpes maintains the 6th position in Kazakhstan D1. Okzhetpes is rather a weak team placed in lower part in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 5-8 record. In the team's last game Surkova had a remarkable five three-pointers out of 11 attempts. She turned to be Okzhetpes' top player in her first season with the team. Surkova has impressive league stats. She is in league's top in points (3rd best: 17.2ppg).

Second best performed player last round was Ulyana Titova (168-G-2003). She is Russian guard in her first season at Okzhetpes. In the last game Titova recorded an impressive 25 points, 4 rebounds and 5 assists. Of course together with Surkova she helped Okzhetpes Kokshetay with another comfortable win outscoring slightly higher-ranked Caspiy Aktau (#5, 6-7) 109-70. Okzhetpes' 6th position in the standings has not changed. Her team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 5-8 record. Titova is a newcomer at Okzhetpes and despite she is not a team leader yet, every game she becomes more reliable player. Hopefully performances like the last one will happen more often.

Third place about best performers goes to guard Xeniya Abdurashitova (168-PG-2001) of Irtysh Pavlodar-PNHZ (#7). Abdurashitova showcased her all-around game by recording 27 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists in the last round. She was a key player of Irtysh, leading her team to a 75-51 easy win against slightly lower-ranked Barsy Atyrau (#8, 1-12). Irtysh can only dream about fighting for top spots in the league. They have rather bad season and 3-10 record places them close to the bottom of the standings. Abdurashitova has a very solid season. In 13 games in Kazakhstan she scored 9.8ppg. She also has 4.2rpg and 3.5apg.
