Best players of Kazakhstan National League round 15

Dmitriy Doynikov

Russian Dmitriy Doynikov (204-PF-1994) had a very impressive game in the last round for MBK Tobol Kostanay and that's him to receive a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 15.
The 29-year old power forward had a double-double of 29 points and 15 rebounds, while his team beat Astana Ac. (#5, 8-8) 95-88. Tobol maintains the 3rd position in Kazakhstan National League. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. Tobol will need more victories to improve their 10-6 record. In the team's last game Doynikov had a remarkable 75.0% from 2-point range. He turned to be Tobol's top player in his first season with the team. Doynikov has impressive league stats. He is in league's top in points (7th best: 17.3ppg), rebounds (9th best: 7.5rpg) and averages solid 60.8% FGP.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was young international center Robert Pan (202-C-1995) of league's best team Irbis Almaty. Pan impressed basketball fans with 21 points, 8 rebounds and 3 assists. Of course Irbis cruised to a 77-67 relatively comfortable win over the lower-ranked Aktobe (#4, 8-7). It was definitely game of the week between two contenders to the title. Irbis consolidated its place in the very top position of the standings. His team belongs to top of the standings with 15-1 record and is considered one of the main candidates for the league title. Pan is well-known by Irbis fans and he already established his position as one of team's most reliable players.

The third best performed player last round was another Tobol's star - international swingman Pavel Ilyin (194-F/G-1992). Ilyin scored 20 points and grabbed 6 rebounds. He was another key player of MBK Tobol Kostanay, helping his team with a 95-88 win against slightly lower-ranked Astana Ac. (#5, 8-8). Tobol needs these victories very badly if they think about getting closer to top teams. Their record at this point is 10 victories and 6 lost games. Ilyin has a great season in Kazakhstan. After 16 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in assists with 4.8apg (8th best).
