Zhigulin's 23 points and 6 rebounds give him Player of the Week award

29-year old forward Alexander Zhigulin (205-F-1994) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for league's best team Irbis Almaty and receives a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 13.
He had the game-high 23 points adding six rebounds and two assists for Irbis in his team's victory, helping them to outclass Caspiy Aktau (#7, 3-11) with 27-point margin 90-63. It allowed Irbis to consolidate first place in the Kazakhstan league. Irbis has a very good season and are considered to have a run for the championship title. They improved their record to 13-1. It's Zhigulin's second year at Irbis and it's hard to imagine this team without him. Alexander Zhigulin averages this season 12.7ppg and 5.6rpg.

Second best performed player last round was LaDarius Marshall (201-F/C-1999) of BK Caspiy Aktau. He is American forward in his first season at Caspiy Aktau. In the last game Marshall recorded impressive double-double of 25 points and 14 rebounds. Bad luck as Caspiy Aktau lost that game 58-105 to the higher-ranked Irbis (#1, 13-1). Caspiy Aktau is still second from the bottom in the standings. 11 lost games are too many comparing to just three victories Caspiy Aktau managed to get this year. Marshall is a newcomer at Caspiy Aktau and quickly became one of team's most reliable players.

Third place about best performers goes to guard Keshon Tabb (180-PG-1999) of MBK Irtysh Pavlodar (#8). Tabb scored 23 points and passed five assists. Despite Tabb's great performance Irtysh lost 71-87 to the higher-ranked Aktobe (#5, 7-5). But his team cannot count on just a single player as he also needs help of the other teammates. Tabb has individually a great season in Kazakhstan. After 14 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 25.5ppg (best scorer) and assists with 5.0apg (8th best). He also has 4.9spg, FGP: 54.2% and 3PT: 41.7%. Tabb attended one of camps at Eurobasket Summer League on his way to pro basketball.
