Power forward Maksim Nalogov (198-F/C-1994) put on an amazing game in the last round for MBK Bars Petropavlovsk, receiving a Hoops Agents Higher League Player of the Week award for round 12.
The 29-year old player was the main contributor (33 points, four rebounds and seven assists) to his team's victory, helping them to crush Barsy 2 (#5, 5-8) with 21-point margin 84-63. Bars maintains the 4th position in Kazakhstan Higher League. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. Bars will need more victories to improve their 8-5 record. In the team's last game Nalogov had a remarkable 68.8% from 2-point range. He has many years of experience at Bars, through which he has constantly improved. Maksim Nalogov has solid league stats. He is in league's top in points (3rd best: 22.6ppg), rebounds (7th best: 9.3rpg), assists (8th best: 5.3apg) and averages impressive 2.1spg.

The second best player in last round's games was young Dmitriy Luchko (193-G-1997) of ChelSU Kostanay. Luchko had a very good evening with a double-double of 28 points and 15 rebounds. Of course he led ChelSU to another comfortable win outscoring slightly lower-ranked Altay (#8, 1-12) 98-69. ChelSU's 6th position in the standings has not changed. His team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 4-8 record. Luchko is one of the most experienced players at ChelSU and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 21.5ppg (#4). He also registered 12.8 boards per game.

Third on the list of top players last round was forward Vladislav Baturin (188-F-1995) of Altay Oskemen (#8). Baturin scored 28 points and grabbed ten rebounds. Despite Baturin's great performance Altay lost 69-98 to slightly higher-ranked ChelSU (#6, 4-8). But his team cannot count on just a single shooter as he also needs help of the other teammates. Altay can only dream about fighting for top spots in the league. They have extremely bad season and 1-12 record places them at the very bottom of the standings. Baturin has individually a great season in Kazakhstan. After 13 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 16.2ppg (9th best).
