3rd ranked host Turan (8-4) lost to top-ranked Tigers-KazATU (12-0) 86-77. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Turan. Tigers-KazATU dominated down low during the game scoring 56 of its points in the paint compared to Turan's 34. Tigers-KazATU forced 20 Turan turnovers and outrebounded them 40-29 including a 17-6 advantage in offensive rebounds. Tigers-KazATU looked well-organized offensively handing out 33 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of swingman Eset Zharkylov (195-1998) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 18 points and 14 rebounds (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field) and forward Alexey Alyonushka (190-1995) who added 18 points, 9 rebounds, 7 assists and 6 steals during the contest. The best for the losing side was guard Alymzhan Maksutov (180-1994) with 25 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists. Undefeated Tigers-KazATU have an impressive 12-game winning streak. Newly promoted Tigers-KazATU maintains first position with 12-0 record. Turan at the other side, also newcomer in the league, keeps the third place with four games lost. They share the position with Bars. Tigers-KazATU are looking forward to face ChelSU (#5) in Kostanay in the next round. The game in Oskemen supposed to be also quite interesting. Sixth ranked ChelSU (4-8) played at the court of 8th ranked Altay (1-11). ChelSU smashed Altay 98-69 on Tuesday. The best player for the winners was Dmitriy Luchko who had a double-double by scoring 28 points, 15 rebounds and 4 assists. ChelSU's coach Alexander Derbush felt very confident that he used 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the other side the best for losing team was Vladislav Baturin who recorded a double-double by scoring 28 points and 10 rebounds. ChelSU moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Barsy 2. Altay lost ninth consecutive game. They stay at the bottom position with 11 games lost. ChelSU will meet league's leader Tigers-KazATU in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Altay will play against Barsy 2 (#6) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
