Rulyova's double-double lands her Hoops Agents Player of the Week award

37-year old Ukrainian power forward Ganna Rulyova (183-F/C-1986, agency: BIG) had a very impressive game in the last round for Turan Turkestan and receives a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 5.
She had a double-double of 29 points and 23 rebounds, while her team crushed Caspiy Aktau (#7, 1-4) with 16-point margin 82-66. Turan maintains the 3rd position in Kazakhstan D1. They are still close to the very top. Turan would have been even better if they kept winning the games like in the last round. They have a solid 4-1 record. In the team's last game Rulyova had a remarkable six three-pointers out of 11 attempts. It's her second year at Turan and it's hard to imagine this team without her. Rulyova has impressive league stats. She is in league's top in points (2nd best: 24.0ppg), assists (3rd best: 5.2apg) and averages solid 52.3% FGP.

Second best performed player last round was Yana Kotova (185-F-1988, agency: TPA) of Tomiris Almaty. She is Russian forward in her first season at Tomiris. In the last game Kotova recorded impressive double-double of 13 points and 20 rebounds. Bad luck as Tomiris lost that game 49-57 to the lower-ranked Irtysh (#8, 1-4). Despite lost game Tomiris moved up to 4th position in the standings. Her team's 3-3 record is not bad at all. Kotova is a newcomer at Tomiris and quickly became one of team's most reliable players.

Third place about best performers goes to guard Katrina Trankale (173-G-2002) of Barsy Atyrau (#6). Trankale showcased her all-around game by recording 27 points, five rebounds and five assists in the last round. Despite Trankale's great performance Barsy Atyrau lost 62-87 to the league's current leader Aktobe (#1, 5-0). But her team cannot count on just a single shooter as she also needs help of the other teammates. Barsy Atyrau can only dream about fighting for top spots in the league. They have rather bad season and 1-4 record places them close to the bottom of the standings. Trankale has individually a great season in Kazakhstan. After only 5 games, she made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 16.8ppg (6th best) and assists with 3.8apg (7th best).
