The most exciting game of round 10 in the National League took place in Aktobe. This derby game ended with only one-point defeat on the road of much higher ranked Barsy Atyrau (7-3) to fifth ranked Aktobe (5-3) 98-97 on Tuesday evening. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Barsy Atyrau. Aktobe forced 28 Barsy Atyrau turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists. 24 personal fouls committed by Barsy Atyrau helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. American players dominated the game. Worth to mention a great performance of center Jai Williams (206-1995, college: St.Joseph's) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 24 points, 12 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 steals. point guard Shakir Smith (185-1992, college: ASU) contributed with 32 points and 7 assists for the winners. point guard Jarvis Garrett (182-1995, college: URI) replied with 23 points, 5 rebounds and 8 assists for Barsy Atyrau. Barsy Atyrau's coach Tigran Gyokchyan tried various players' combinations and tested in total eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Aktobe moved-up to fourth place. Barsy Atyrau at the other side keeps the second position with three games lost. They share it with Astana Ac.. Aktobe are looking forward to face league's leader Irbis in Almaty in the next round and it may be the game of the week. Barsy Atyrau will have a break next round.

The former international forward Alexander Zhigulin (205-1994) scored 22 points and 8 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and Robert Pan chipped in 17 points during the contest. At the losing side the former international forward Anton Bykov (200-1989) responded with 14 points and 7 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Irbis maintains first position with 7-1 record. Tobol lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the fifth place with five games lost. Irbis will play against Aktobe (#4) on the road in the next round. Tobol will have a break next round.

Irbis dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to Tobol's 38. Irbis forced 23 Tobol turnovers. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 23 assists.
