Best players of Kazakhstan Higher League round 3 (by Hoops Agents)

Anuar Shakirov (180-PG-2000) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for league's second-best Shymkent and that's him to receive a Hoops Agents Higher League Player of the Week award for round 3.
The 23-year old playmaker had the game-high 27 points adding seven rebounds and eight assists for Shymkent in his team's victory, helping them to beat Karaganda (#8, 0-4), the league's bottom-ranked team 78-69. Shymkent is placed at 2nd position in Kazakhstan Higher League. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost that single game earlier this season. Shymkent will need more victories to improve their 3-1 record. Shakirov has many years of experience at Shymkent, through which he has constantly improved. Shakirov has impressive league stats. He is league's best scorer averaging so far 26.0ppg. Shakirov is in league's top in assists (4th best: 5.7apg) and averages solid 54.3% FGP.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was young forward Alexander Antropov (195-F-1993) of Altay. Antropov impressed basketball fans with 20 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists. It was enough for Altay to edge ChelSU (1-3) by 4 points 84-80. The season is still at the very beginning and this victory may help a lot. Let's wait for the next round. Antropov is well-known by Altay fans and he already established his position as one of team's most reliable players.

The third best performed player last round was Medeu Aukesh (195-F/G-2005) of Karaganda (#8). Aukesh scored 15 points and grabbed eighteen rebounds (!!!). Despite Aukesh's great performance Karaganda lost 69-78 to Shymkent (#2, 3-1). But his team cannot count on just a single player as he also needs help of the other teammates. Karaganda can only dream about fighting for top spots in the league. They have awful season losing so far all 4 games. Aukesh has individually a great season in Kazakhstan. After only 3 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in rebounds with 12.7rpg (#1 in league).
