Irbis ink Marcus Myers, ex AO Triton

Marcus Myers

Irbis Almaty (National League) has signed 27-year-old American point guard Marcus Myers (185cm-73kg-1996, college: Aurora, agency: Octagon Europe) for the upcoming 2023-24 season. He will be joining fellow American player Lorenzo Anderson on the roster. Myers was the best passer at AO Triton in the Greek U18 League and had impressive stats in the Elite League, averaging 11.0ppg, 2.9rpg, 2.6apg, and 1.5spg in 32 games. He helped AO Triton reach the Greek Elite League final. In the 2022-23 season, Myers was named to the Eurobasket.com All-Greek Elite League Honorable Mention. Prior to that, he played for Shumen Basket in the Bulgarian league and Drita in the Kosovan league.
He's a highly experienced player, having played professionally in Bulgaria, Kosovo, and Armenia (Erebuni).
The list of past achievements is extensive. His college team emerged victorious in the NACC Tournament in 2018, and he was honored as the All-NACC Player of the Year in the same year.
He graduated from Aurora University in 2018, and this upcoming season will mark his sixth as a professional player. He also played for Riverland Community College for a span of two years.
