Daniil Severgin's triple-double lands him Higher League Player of the Week award

17-year old point guard Daniil Severgin (183-PG-2005) put on an amazing game in the last round for second-ranked Almaty L. and receives a Hoops Agents Higher League Player of the Week award for round 27.
He recorded a triple-double of 31 points adding also 11 rebounds and 16 assists, while his team outclassed Bars (23-4) with 43-point margin 110-67. The game was between two of the league's top four teams. Almaty L. is placed at 2nd position in Kazakhstan Higher League. They are still close to the very top. Almaty L. would have been even better if they kept winning the games like in the last round. They have a solid 23-4 record. In the team's last game Severgin had a remarkable 83.3% from 2-point range. He turned to be Almaty L.'s top player in his first season with the team. Severgin has impressive league stats. He is league's best passer with 8.1apg. Severgin is in league's top in and averages solid 3.0spg and 63.3% FGP.

Second best performed player last round was Eset Zharkylov (195-F/G-1998) of Gotobeles. He is a swingman in his first season at Gotobeles. In the last game Zharkylov recorded impressive double-double of 26 points and 18 rebounds. Bad luck as Gotobeles lost that game 63-70 to slightly higher-ranked Caspiy Aktau (#8, 10-17). This loss caused Gotobeles to drop to 9th position in the standings. His team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 9-18 record. Zharkylov is a newcomer at Gotobeles and quickly became one of team's most reliable players.

Third place about best performers goes to forward Sergey Dyatlik (194-F-1997) of Bars (#3). Dyatlik showcased his all-around game by recording 28 points, seven rebounds and six assists in the last round. He was a key player of Bars, leading his team to a 104-61 easy win against the lower-ranked Gotobeles (#9, 9-18). Bars is closer and closer to top of the standings. They will still need more victories. But 23-4 record is not that bad... Dyatlik has a great season in Kazakhstan. After 27 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in assists with 6.1apg (3rd best).
