Maksim Nalogov
Maksim Nalogov (198-F/C-1994) had an amazing evening in the last round for league's second-best Bars and that's him to receive a Hoops Agents Higher League Player of the Week award for round 26.
The 28-year old power forward had a double-double of 39 points and fourteen rebounds, while his team beat Barsy 2 (#6, 12-14) 90-85. Bars maintains the 2nd position in Kazakhstan Higher League. They are still close to the very top. Bars would have been even better if they kept winning the games like in the last round. They have a solid 22-4 record. In the team's last game Nalogov had a remarkable 53.8% from 2-point range. He has many years of experience at Bars, through which he has constantly improved. Nalogov has impressive league stats. He is league's best scorer averaging so far 26.8ppg. Nalogov is in league's top in rebounds (2nd best: 11.8rpg) and averages solid 2.5spg and 50.7% FGP.
The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was young swingman Eset Zharkylov (195-F/G-1998) of Gotobeles. Zharkylov impressed basketball fans with a double-double of 29 points and 23 rebounds. Of course Gotobeles cruised to a 68-59 relatively comfortable win over slightly lower-ranked ChelSU (#10, 7-18). Gotobeles' 8th position in the standings has not changed. His team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 9-17 record. Zharkylov is a newcomer at Gotobeles and it seems he did not have too much trouble to become one of team's leaders.
The third best performed player last round was Daniil Severgin (183-PG-2005) of Almaty L. (#3). Severgin scored 21 points and passed fifteen assists (!!!). He was a key player of Almaty L., leading his team to a 99-51 easy win against the lower-ranked Gotobeles (#8, 9-17). Severgin has a great season in Kazakhstan. After 25 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in assists with 7.7apg (2nd best). He also has 2.9spg and FGP: 63.4%.

The Player of the week is selected based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
