Alexey Alyonushka
Alexey Alyonushka (190-F-1995) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for Karaganda and that's him to receive a Hoops Agents Higher League Player of the Week award for round 23.
The 27-year old forward had a double-double of 32 points and ten rebounds, while his team beat Tigers-KazATU (#6, 11-14) 99-90. Karaganda maintains the 4th position in Kazakhstan Higher League. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. Karaganda will need more victories to improve their 16-8 record. In the team's last game Alyonushka had a remarkable 72.2% from 2-point range. He turned to be Karaganda's top player in his first season with the team. Alyonushka has impressive league stats. He is in league's top in points (2nd best: 22.0ppg), rebounds (4th best: 9.5rpg) and averages solid 2.8spg and 53.9% FGP.
The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was young forward Vladislav Baturin (188-F-1995) of Altay. Baturin impressed basketball fans with 23 points, 5 rebounds and 3 assists. Bad luck as Altay lost that game 59-88 to slightly higher-ranked Aktobe 2 (#11, 5-20). The game was between two teams which are definitely not main contenders for the title. Altay is still at the dead bottom 12th position. 22 lost games are too many comparing to just two victories Altay managed to get this year. Baturin is a newcomer at Altay and it seems he did not have too much trouble to become one of team's leaders.
The third best performed player last round was Anuar Shakirov (180-PG-2000) of top-ranked Shymkent. Shakirov showcased his all-around game by recording 29 points, six rebounds and six assists in the last round. He was a key player of Shymkent, leading his team to a 78-68 win against #4 ranked Karaganda in a game of the week. Many experts and fans count Shymkent as a contender for championship title. Another victory and another confirmation that they may be right. Just look at their record: 24 victories and only one lost game. They are currently at the very top of the standings. Shakirov has a great season in Kazakhstan. After 25 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 20.7ppg (3rd best) and assists with 4.9apg (9th best). He also has 2.2spg and FGP: 56.6%.

The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
