Kazakhstan Higher League round 22 best performance: Dmitriy Luchko

Guard Dmitriy Luchko (193-G-1997) put on an amazing game in the last round for ChelSU, receiving a Hoops Agents Higher League Player of the Week award for round 22.
The 25-year old player had a double-double of 35 points and 18 rebounds, while his team in a lost game to Barsy 2 (#7, 9-13) 72-80. ChelSU is placed at 9th position in Kazakhstan Higher League. ChelSU is rather a weak team placed in lower part in the standings. But it was their 15th lost game this season out of 22 games. It's Luchko's second year at ChelSU and it's hard to imagine this team without him. Dmitriy Luchko averages this season 27.0ppg and 13.0rpg.

The second best player in last round's games was young Eset Zharkylov (195-F/G-1998) of Gotobeles. Zharkylov had a very good evening with a double-double of 20 points and 19 rebounds. Third on the list of top players last round was forward Maksim Nalogov (198-F/C-1994) of league's second-best Bars. Nalogov showcased his all-around game by recording 27 points, fourteen rebounds (!!!) and six assists in the last round. He was a key player of Bars, leading his team to a 83-49 easy win against the lower-ranked Gotobeles (#8, 8-14). Many experts and fans count Bars as a contender for championship title. Another victory and another confirmation that they may be right. Just look at their record: 20 victories and only two lost games. Nalogov has a great season in Kazakhstan. After 22 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 26.2ppg (best scorer) and rebounds with 11.8rpg (2nd best). He also has 2.6spg and FGP: 51.6%.
