The game in Nur-Sultan supposed to be quite interesting. Third ranked Almaty L. (16-4) played at the court of 8th ranked Gotobeles (7-13). Almaty L. smashed Gotobeles 103-66 on Sunday. Almaty L. dominated down low during the game scoring 50 of its points in the paint compared to Gotobeles' 18 and made 23-of-26 free shots (88.5 percent) during the game. Almaty L. forced 35 Gotobeles turnovers and outrebounded them 45-31 including a 18-2 advantage in offensive rebounds. It was a good game for point guard Daniil Severgin (183-2005) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 26 points, 10 rebounds, 7 assists and 4 steals. Guard Stanislav Sahipov (190-2002) contributed with 18 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Swingman Eset Zharkylov (195-1998) answered with 15 points and 7 rebounds for Gotobeles. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Almaty L. have a solid series of three victories in a row. Newly promoted Almaty L. maintains third place with 16-4 record having seven points less than leader Shymkent. Gotobeles lost fourth consecutive game. Gotobeles at the other side, also newcomer in the league, keep the eighth position with 13 games lost. They share it with Caspiy Aktau. Almaty L. are looking forward to face Barsy 2 (#7) in Atyrau in the next round. Gotobeles will play on the road against the league's second-placed Bars in Petropavlovsk and are hoping to prove to their supporters that they can break losing series.

Power forward Maksim Nalogov (198-1994) stepped up with a triple-double by scoring 27 points, 12 rebounds, 11 assists and 5 steals for the winners and Artem Parfenov chipped in 25 points and 10 rebounds (on 9-of-10 shooting from the field). The best for the losing side was forward Abat Marat (180-2005) with 22 points. Bars have an impressive series of fourteen victories in a row. They maintain second place with 19-1 record having 2 victories less than leader Shymkent. Barsy 2 at the other side keeps the seventh position with 12 games lost. They will play against Gotobeles (#8) in Nur-Sultan in the next round which should be theoretically another easy game. Barsy 2 will play at home against Almaty L. and hopes to get back on the winning track.

Guard Artem Pedko (191-2000) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 22 points, 13 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners and guard Dmitriy Luchko (193-1997) chipped in 27 points and 11 rebounds. The best for the losing side was swingman Eset Zharkylov (195-1998) with 24 points and 8 rebounds and swingman Daulet Bekbauov (191-1999) scored 14 points, 7 rebounds, 4 assists and 5 steals. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Newly promoted ChelSU maintains tenth place with 6-14 record. Gotobeles lost fourth consecutive game. Very expected game when 9th ranked Caspiy Aktau (7-13) was smashed at home by third ranked Almaty L. (16-4) 89-65.
