ChelSU - Gotobeles 77-61 There was a small surprise when tenth ranked ChelSU (6-14) beat 8th ranked Gotobeles (7-13) in Kostanay 77-61. ChelSU forced 22 Gotobeles turnovers. Guard Artem Pedko (191-2000) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 22 points, 13 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners and guard Dmitriy Luchko (193-1997) chipped in 27 points and 11 rebounds. The best for the losing side was swingman Eset Zharkylov (195-1998) with 24 points and 8 rebounds and swingman Daulet Bekbauov (191-1999) scored 14 points, 7 rebounds, 4 assists and 5 steals. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Newly promoted ChelSU maintains tenth place with 6-14 record. Gotobeles lost fourth consecutive game. Gotobeles at the other side, also newcomer in the league, keep the eighth position with 13 games lost. They share it with Caspiy Aktau. ChelSU will play against higher ranked Caspiy Aktau (#9) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Gotobeles will play against the league's second-placed Bars where they are definitely not considered as a favorite in this game either. Almaty L. forced 35 Gotobeles turnovers and outrebounded them 45-31 including a 18-2 advantage in offensive rebounds. It was a good game for point guard Daniil Severgin (183-2005) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 26 points, 10 rebounds, 7 assists and 4 steals.
