Dzhunusov's 34-point game gives him Higher League Hoops Agents Player of the Week award

23-year old swingman Temirlan Dzhunusov (192-G/F-1999) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for Tigers-KazATU and receives a Hoops Agents Higher League Player of the Week award for round 18.
He had the game-high 34 points adding nine rebounds and six assists for Tigers-KazATU in his team's victory, helping them to beat Irtysh (10-11) 76-67. Tigers-KazATU maintains the 6th position in Kazakhstan Higher League. Tigers-KazATU is a typical solid league team placed somewhere in the middle or a little bit lower in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 10-11 record. In the team's last game Dzhunusov had a remarkable 55.6% from 2-point range and got six three-pointers out of 10 attempts. He turned to be Tigers-KazATU's top player in his first season with the team. Dzhunusov has impressive league stats. He is in league's top in points (8th best: 18.2ppg) and assists (6th best: 5.3apg).

Second best performed player last round was Anuar Shakirov (180-PG-2000) of top-ranked Shymkent. He is a guard in his second season at Shymkent. In the last game Shakirov recorded impressive 26 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists. Of course Shymkent cruised to a 93-82 relatively comfortable win over slightly lower-ranked Karaganda (#3, 14-7). It was definitely game of the week between two contenders to the title. Shymkent consolidated its place in the very top position of the standings. His team belongs to top of the standings with 20-1 record and is considered one of the main candidates for the league title. Shakirov is well-known at Shymkent and he already established his position as one of the team's leaders. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 19.6ppg (#5). His other stats are also decent: 6.4rpg and 5.1apg.

Third place about best performers goes to guard Baynazar Omarov (185-G-2004) of Aktobe 2 (#11). Omarov showcased his all-around game by recording 15 points, eleven rebounds (!!!) and nine assists in the last round. He was a key player of Aktobe 2, leading his team to a 74-70 win against slightly lower-ranked Altay (#12, 2-19). Omarov has a very solid season. In 16 games in Kazakhstan he scored 13.7ppg. He also has 5.8rpg and 3.1spg.

8. Ivan Shetinkin (203-PF-2002) of Karaganda - 14 points, 11 rebounds and 2 assists
9. Victor Yuldashev (190-G-2002) of Shymkent - 17 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists
10. Zhalgasbek Kadyr (180-PG-1997) of Shymkent - 12 points and 13 assists
