Best players of Kazakhstan Higher League round 11 (by Hoops Agents)

Nikita Timofeev

Nikita Timofeev (199-F-1998) had an amazing evening in the last round for Almaty L. and that's him to receive a Hoops Agents Higher League Player of the Week award for round 11.
The 24-year old forward had a double-double of 26 points and sixteen rebounds, while his team crushed Tigers-KazATU (#8, 5-7) with 24-point margin 98-74. Almaty L. maintains the 3rd position in Kazakhstan Higher League. They are still close to the very top. Almaty L. would have been even better if they kept winning the games like in the last round. They have a solid 10-2 record. Timofeev turned to be Almaty L.'s top player in his first season with the team. Timofeev has impressive league stats. He is in league's top in rebounds (6th best: 9.1rpg) and averages solid 2.1spg and 62.9% FGP.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was young swingman Eset Zharkylov (195-F/G-1998) of Gotobeles. Zharkylov impressed basketball fans with a double-double of 18 points and 23 rebounds. Of course Gotobeles cruised to a 77-66 relatively comfortable win over the lower-ranked Aktobe 2 (#11, 3-9). Gotobeles' 6th position in the standings has not changed. His team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 5-7 record. Zharkylov is a newcomer at Gotobeles and it seems he did not have too much trouble to become one of team's leaders.

The third best performed player last round was Artem Pedko (191-G-2000) of ChelSU (#10). Pedko showcased his all-around game by recording 25 points, eight rebounds and six assists in the last round. He was a key player of ChelSU, leading his team to a 99-41 easy win against Altay (#12, 0-12). Pedko has individually a great season in Kazakhstan. After 12 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 18.8ppg (6th best).
