Marchuk is back at Astana

Roman Marchuk

Defending champion BK Astana (National League) agreed terms with 29-year old international forward Roman Marchuk (198cm-1993) for new 2022-23 season. It is actually his comeback to Nur-Sultan as he has played here before. Marchuk played last season at Barsy Atyrau (National League). In 28 Kazakhstan games he had 6.6ppg, 4.3rpg, 1.7apg and 1.0spg. He helped them to win the cup and make to league final.
The previous (2020-21) season he played at Caspiy Aktau where in 19 Kazakhstan games he recorded 10.3ppg, 5.2rpg and 1.7apg in that year. Marchuk contributed to his team making it to the semifinals. 2020-21 was a great season as he was named to Asia-Basket.com All-Kazakhstan League Honorable Mention. He also played for MBK Almatynski Legion Alma-Ata that season. In 14 Kazakhstan games he averaged 11.5ppg, 7.4rpg, 1.9apg and 1.2spg in that year. 2020-21 was a great season as he was named to Asia-Basket.com All-Kazakhstan League Honorable Mention. The other team he played that season for was Alma-Ata in Russian league. In 14 National League games he got 11.5ppg, 7.4rpg and 1.9apg in that year. Marchuk has been regularly called to Kazakhstan Senior National Team since 2017.
He has played previously for Sinegorie Kokshetau.
Marchuk won Kazakhstan League championship title in 2013.
