Anuar Shakirov's triple-double lands him Higher League Hoops Agents Player of the Week award

21-year old point guard Anuar Shakirov (180-PG-2000) had an amazing evening in the last round for Kazygurt and receives a Hoops Agents Higher League Player of the Week award for round 26.
He recorded a triple-double of 34 points adding also 18 rebounds and 10 assists, while his team outclassed Jambyl (#7, 6-20) with 41-point margin 131-90. Kazygurt was forced-out from the top positions in Kazakhstan Higher League. Kazygurt has a very good season and are considered to have a run for the championship title. They improved their record to 22-2. In the team's last game Shakirov had a remarkable 61.1% from 2-point range and got three three-pointers out of 6 attempts. He turned to be Kazygurt's top player in his first season with the team. Shakirov has impressive league stats. He is in league's top in assists (5th best: 4.8apg) and averages solid 58.2% FGP.

Second best performed player last round was Andrey Portnyagin (181-G-1994) of Jambyl. He is a guard in his first season at Jambyl. Third place about best performers goes to forward Maksim Nalogov (198-F/C-1994) of league's leader Bars. Nalogov showcased his all-around game by recording 28 points, eight rebounds and four assists in the last round. He was a key player of Bars, leading his team to a 87-58 easy win against the lower-ranked Astana-2 (#10, 2-24). Bars confirms their top position in the standings. Nalogov has a great season in Kazakhstan. After 25 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 22.4ppg (2nd best) and rebounds with 13.4rpg (#1 in league).
