Nalogov's double-double lands him Higher League Player of the Week award

Maksim Nalogov

27-year old power forward Maksim Nalogov (198-F/C-1994) had a very impressive game in the last round for second-ranked Bars and receives a Hoops Agents Higher League Player of the Week award for round 20.
He had a double-double of 25 points and 17 rebounds, while his team outclassed Jambyl (#7, 4-15) with 58-point margin 108-50. Bars is placed at 2nd position in Kazakhstan Higher League. They are still close to the very top. Bars would have been even better if they kept winning the games like in the last round. They have a solid 17-3 record. In the team's last game Nalogov had a remarkable 84.6% from 2-point range. He has many years of experience at Bars, through which he has constantly improved. Nalogov has impressive league stats. Second best performed player last round was Stanislav Sahipov (190-G-2002) of Karaganda. He is a guard in his first (recently joined) season at Karaganda. In the last game Sahipov recorded impressive double-double of 29 points and 10 rebounds. Of course he led Karaganda to another comfortable win outscoring the lower-ranked Namys (#8, 4-16) 106-79. Karaganda's 5th position in the standings has not changed. His team lost some distance to top teams. But 12-8 record is not bad and everything may still change. Sahipov is one of the most experienced players at Karaganda and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players.

Third place about best performers goes to swingman Temirlan Dzhunusov (192-G/F-1999) of Qazaqstan (#3). Dzhunusov scored 29 points and grabbed eight rebounds. He was a key player of Qazaqstan, leading his team to a 78-63 easy win against the lower-ranked Irtysh (#6, 8-12). Dzhunusov has a great season in Kazakhstan. After 12 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 17.3ppg (9th best).
