Vereshagin's 48-point game gives him Higher League Player of the Week award

29-year old forward Aleksei Vereshagin (200-F-92) had a great game in the last round for second-ranked Shymkent and receives a Hoops Agents Higher League Player of the Week award for round 14.
He had the game-high 48 points adding nine rebounds and two assists for Kazygurt in his team's victory, helping them to crush ChelSU (#8, 2-12) with 18-point margin 117-99. Kazygurt is placed at 2nd position in Kazakhstan Higher League. Kazygurt has a very good season and are considered to have a run for the championship title. They improved their record to 12-1. In the team's last game Vereshagin had a remarkable 70.0% from 2-point range. He has many years of experience at Kazygurt, through which he has constantly improved. Vereshagin has impressive league stats. He is league's best scorer averaging so far 22.2ppg. Vereshagin is in league's top in rebounds (8th best: 8.5rpg) and averages solid 58.8% FGP.

Second best performed player last round was Daniil Severgin (178-PG-05) of ChelSU. He is a guard in his first season at ChelSU. In the last game Severgin recorded impressive double-double of 36 points and 11 rebounds. Bad luck as ChelSU lost that game 99-117 to the higher-ranked Kazygurt (#2, 12-1).
