Maksim Nalogov
Talented Sergey Kalachikov (195-F-03) had a very impressive game in the last round for Jambyl and that's him to receive a Hoops Agents Higher League Player of the Week award for round 10.
The 18-year old forward had the game-high 20 points adding six rebounds and two assists for Jambyl in his team's victory, helping them to crush Namys (#9, 1-9) with 21-point margin 90-69. Jambyl maintains the 7th position in Kazakhstan Higher League. Jambyl is rather a weak team placed in lower part in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 4-6 record. It was one of impressive evenings for Kalachikov as usually he does not deliver so high stats. Sergey Kalachikov averages this season 9.8ppg and 6.6rpg.
The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was 24-year old guard Dmitriy Luchko (193-G-97) of ChelSU. Luchko impressed basketball fans with a double-double of 29 points and 12 rebounds. Bad luck as ChelSU lost that game 87-97 to the higher-ranked Irtysh (#5, 6-4). ChelSU is still second from the bottom in the standings. 9 lost games are too many comparing to just one victory ChelSU managed to get this year. Luchko is a newcomer at ChelSU and it seems he did not have too much trouble to become one of team's leaders. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 20.4ppg (#4). He also registered 10.6 boards per game.
The third best performed player last round was Maksim Nalogov (198-F/C-94) of top-ranked Bars. Nalogov showcased his all-around game by recording 29 points, thirteen rebounds (!!!) and four assists in the last round. Despite Nalogov's great performance Bars lost 72-83 to #3 ranked Kazygurt. But his team cannot count on just a single shooter as he also needs help of the other teammates especially in such crucial game. That was shocking loss for Bars and their fans. Hopefully so far almost perfect season will not turn around. They still have impressive 9-1 record in the league holding top position in the standings. Nalogov plays for a very strong team and Bars has many quality players. So achieving that high stats is even more impressive. Nalogov has a great season in Kazakhstan. After 10 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 20.5ppg (3rd best) and rebounds with 14.0rpg (#1 in league). He also has 1.4bpg and FGP: 59.9%.

The Player of the week is selected based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
