The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of top-ranked Bars (9-0) in Petropavlovsk on Friday night. Hosts were defeated by third ranked Kazygurt (7-1) 83-72. It ended at the same time the nine-game winning streak of Bars. Kazygurt looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Forward Aleksei Vereshagin (200-92) had a double-double by scoring 13 points, 14 rebounds and 5 assists to lead the charge for the winners and point guard Zhalgasbek Kadyr (180-97) chipped in 14 points and 7 assists during the contest. At the losing side power forward Maksim Nalogov (198-94) responded with a double-double by scoring 29 points, 13 rebounds and 4 assists. Kazygurt have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain third position with 7-1 record having just three points less than leader Bars. Bars at the other side still keep top place with 0 game lost.
Bottom-ranked Astana-2 (0-10) is still winless. This time they lost on the road their tenth consecutive match to fourth ranked Barsy 2 (7-3) 80-55. Bottom-ranked Astana-2 (0-10) is still winless. This time they lost on the road their tenth consecutive match to fourth ranked Barsy 2 (7-3) 80-55. Barsy 2 forced 22 Astana-2 turnovers and outrebounded them 38-25 including 18 on the offensive glass. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 21 assists.
