Higher League round 7 most important game was a victory of Barsy 2 over 4th placed Karaganda 91-68 on Tuesday night. Barsy 2 forced 32 Karaganda turnovers. Worth to mention a great performance of point guard Merey Uapov (183-0) who helped to win the game recording 16 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. Bogdan Rabchenyuk (186-3) contributed with 17 points and 5 assists for the winners. Guard Dias Kalymbetov (190-4) answered with 19 points and 6 rebounds for Karaganda. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Barsy 2 have a solid series of four victories in a row. They moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Irtysh. Karaganda at the other side dropped to the sixth position with three games lost. Barsy 2 is looking forward to face higher ranked Kazygurt (#3) in Shymkent in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Karaganda will play on the road against Irtysh in Pavlodar and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
Higher League top team - Bars (8-0) had no problems winning another game. This time they crushed tenth ranked Astana-2 (0-8) 80-51. It was a great evening for guard Artem Kozyrkin (185-98) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 16 points, 9 rebounds, 10 assists and 4 steals. Maksim Nalogov helped adding 16 points and 9 rebounds. At the losing side international guard Andrey Litvinenko (191-97) responded with 28 points and 5 steals. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Undefeated Bars have an impressive series of eight victories in a row. They maintain first place with 8-0 record. Newly promoted Astana-2 still closes the standings with eight games lost. Bars will play against Namys (#9) in Alma-Ata in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Astana-2 will play on the road against the league's second-placed Qazaqstan in Alma-Ata and hopes to get finally their first victory.

It was an exceptional evening for Nikita Gushchin who led the winners and scored 8 points and 15 rebounds. Timur Snegirev came up with 18 points and 8 rebounds for Namys in the defeat. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. The victory was the third consecutive win for Irtysh. They moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Barsy 2. Namys lost their third game in a row. Newly promoted team keep the eighth position with seven games lost. They share it with ChelSU. Irtysh will meet at home Karaganda (#6) in the next round. Namys will play against the league's leader Bars in Petropavlovsk and hope to win that game.

In the last two games of round 7 Jambyl was smashed by Kazygurt on the road 102-78. Bottom-ranked ChelSU lost to Qazaqstan on its own court 74-85.

Namys - Irtysh 76-80

They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. It was an exceptional evening for point guard Anuar Shakirov (180-0) who led the winners and scored 10 points, 8 rebounds and 8 assists. Forward Aleksei Vereshagin (200-92) accounted for 19 points and 5 rebounds for the winning side. Guard Andrey Portnyagin (181-94) came up with a double-double by scoring 20 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists and guard Berik Zulharnai (183-94) added 11 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists respectively for Jambyl in the defeat. Very expected game when 10th ranked ChelSU (1-7) lost to second ranked Qazaqstan (7-1) in Kostanay 74-85 on Tuesday. Qazaqstan forced 20 ChelSU turnovers. It was an exceptional evening for point guard Ismail Bimendin (180-92) who led the winners and scored 21 points and 9 assists. The former international forward Denis Degtyarev (198-90) accounted for 13 points and 11 rebounds for the winning side. Four Qazaqstan players scored in double figures. Guard Dmitriy Luchko (193-97) came up with 22 points and 9 rebounds and guard Vasiliy Belozor (186-1) added 8 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists respectively for ChelSU in the defeat. The victory was the seventh consecutive win for Qazaqstan. Newly promoted Qazaqstan maintains second place with 7-1 record behind leader Bars. ChelSU lost their seventh game in a row. ChelSU at the other side, also newcomer in the league, dropped to the eighth position with seven games lost. They share it with Namys. Qazaqstan will meet at home bottom-ranked Astana-2 (#10) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. ChelSU will play against Jambyl and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
