Namys - Irtysh 76-80 The game in Alma-Ata was also quite interesting. Fifth ranked Irtysh (5-2) played at the court of 8th ranked Namys (1-7). Irtysh managed to secure a 4-point victory 80-76 on Tuesday. Irtysh forced 23 Namys turnovers and had a 20-7 advantage in offensive rebounds. It was an exceptional evening for guard Nikita Gushchin (192-91) who led the winners and scored 8 points and 15 rebounds. Vadim Bagrov (187-0) accounted for 14 points and 7 rebounds for the winning side. Guard Timur Snegirev (186-4) came up with 18 points and 8 rebounds and forward Yevgeniy Kushniruk (193-98) added 12 points and 13 rebounds respectively for Namys in the defeat. Four Namys players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. The victory was the third consecutive win for Irtysh. They moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Barsy 2. Namys lost their third game in a row. Newly promoted team keep the eighth position with seven games lost. They share it with ChelSU. The victory was the seventh consecutive win for Qazaqstan. Newly promoted Qazaqstan maintains second place with 7-1 record behind leader Bars. ChelSU lost their seventh game in a row. ChelSU at the other side, also newcomer in the league, dropped to the eighth position with seven games lost. They share it with Namys. At the losing side international guard Andrey Litvinenko (191-97) responded with 28 points and 5 steals and forward Ruslanbek Marat (201-5) scored 6 points and 7 rebounds. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Bars have an impressive series of eight victories in a row. They maintain first place with 8-0 record. Newly promoted Astana-2 still closes the standings with eight games lost. Bars will play against Namys (#9) in Alma-Ata in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Astana-2 will play on the road against the league's second-placed Qazaqstan in Alma-Ata and hopes to get finally their first victory.
