National League Round 10: Tobol lose to Sinegorie K.

Here is the last round review presented by ESL.

The most important game in the last round took place in Kokshetay between third ranked Tobol (9-3) and fourth ranked Sinegorie K. (4-6) on Saturday night. Tobol was defeated by Sinegorie K. on the road 69-84. It ended at the same time the five-game winning streak of Tobol. They outrebounded Tobol 40-19 including a 15-2 advantage in offensive rebounds. Worth to mention a great performance of Moldovan-Ukrainian center Stanislav Zavadskiy (212-87) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 26 points and 13 rebounds (on 10-of-13 shooting from the field). Russian guard Roman Lagutin (195-95) contributed with 26 points and 6 assists for the winners. International forward Anton Bykov (200-89) replied with 17 points for Tobol. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Sinegorie K. maintains fourth position with 4-6 record. Tobol at the other side keeps the third place with three games lost. Sinegorie K. will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Tobol will play on the road against the league's leader Astana in Nur-Sultan and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

An interesting game for Tobol (9-3) which played road game in Kokshetay against one of their biggest challengers Sinegorie K. (4-6). Third ranked Tobol managed to get a 4-point victory 84-80. Tobol made 28-of-35 charity shots (80.0 percent) during the game. Tobol outrebounded Sinegorie K. 49-31 including a 32-20 advantage in defensive rebounds. Sinegorie K. was plagued by 26 personal fouls down the stretch. The former international power forward Anton Ponomarev (210-88, agency: BeoBasket) had a double-double by scoring 16 points and 11 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and international forward Anton Bykov (200-89) chipped in 13 points and 10 rebounds during the contest.
