Premier League Round 10: Orthodox defeats Al Jubaiha in the game between Top 4 teams

An interesting game for Orthodox (10-0) which played road game in Al Jubaiha against 4th ranked Al Jubaiha (3-7). Top-ranked Orthodox had an easy win 89-63. Orthodox looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of the former international guard Freddy Ibrahim (190-1996, college: Tampa) who helped to win the game recording 17 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists. The former international forward Ahmad Alhamarsheh (197-1987) contributed with 14 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Guyanese-American forward Kevin Mickle (201-1993, college: Ohio) replied with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 11 rebounds for Al Jubaiha. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Undefeated Orthodox have an impressive ten-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 10-0 record. Al Jubaiha lost third consecutive game. They keep the fourth place with seven games lost.
The game in Irbid supposed to be also worth to mention about. Second ranked Al Ahli (8-2) played at the court of 5th ranked Kofer Yoba (2-8). Al Ahli smashed Kofer Yoba 102-57. The former international forward Zane Najdawi (201-1996, college: Citadel) had a double-double by scoring 27 points, 20 rebounds, 6 assists and 4 steals to lead the charge for the winners and Amin Abuhawwas chipped in 25 points, 7 rebounds and 8 assists during the contest. At the losing side Palestinian center Yousef Shatat (210-1994) responded with 11 points and 8 rebounds. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Defending champion maintains second position with 8-2 record having just two points less than leader Orthodox. Kofer Yoba lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the fifth place with eight games lost.

In the last game of round 10 bottom-ranked Al Ashrafiyah was smashed by Al Riyadi on the road 109-75.
