Happinets keep Iwaya for another season

Akita Northern Happinets (B1 League) re-signed 23-year-old ex-international 183cm point guard Yori Iwaya for the 2026-27 season. He played there last season. In 19 B1 League games, he recorded 5.1ppg and 1.6rpg.
He was a member of the Japanese international program for several years. Iwaya was selected for the Japanese Senior National Team in 2023 and had previously been chosen for the Under 22 National Team in 2023.
