Velca made 29-of-34 charity shots (85.3 percent) during the game. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 23 assists. Jets were plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. American Jarrell Brantley (201-1996, college: Charleston) notched 24 points and 7 rebounds to lead the effort and international Yudai Baba (196-1995) supported him with 19 points. Even 20 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists (was perfect 8-for-8 from the free throw line) by American forward DJ Hogg (203-1996, college: Texas A&M) did not help to save the game for Jets. The former international forward Yuta Watanabe (206-1994, college: GWU) added 16 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists for the guests. Five Velca and four Jets players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest.
