American Rawle Alkins (197-SG-1997) had a great game in the last round for Kumamoto Volters and that's him to receive a Hoops Agents B2 League Player of the Week award for round 59.
The 28-year old shooting guard had a double-double of 31 points and 15 rebounds, while his team crushed Kagoshima (#4, 27-32) with 22-point margin 102-80. Volters maintains the 3rd position in their group in the Japanese B2 League. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. Kumamoto V. will need more victories to improve their 36-24 record. In the team's last game Alkins had a remarkable 58.8% from 2-point range. He turned to be Volters's top player in his first season with the team. University of Arizona graduate has very impressive stats this year. Alkins is in league's top in points (5th best: 19.4ppg), rebounds (9th best: 9.1rpg), assists (2nd best: 5.8apg) and averages solid 50.5% FGP.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was young American guard Tray Boyd III (193-G-1998) of Yokohama Excellence. Boyd III impressed basketball fans with 45 points and 5 rebounds. Of course Excellence cruised to a 106-99 relatively comfortable win over slightly higher-ranked Fukushima (#2, 42-18). It was definitely game of the week between two contenders to the top position in East. Yokohama consolidated its place in top 3 of the standings. His team's 38-18 record is not bad at all. Boyd III is well-known by Yokohama fans and he already established his position as one of team's most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 28.6ppg (#1). His other stats are also decent: 4.9rpg and 4.5apg.

The third best performed player last round was American Mitchell Watt (208-C-1989, agency: Octagon Europe) of second-ranked Ehime Orange Vikings. Watt showcased his all-around game by recording 28 points, 13 rebounds (!!!) and 4 assists in the last round. He was a key player of Orange Vikings, leading his team to a 91-85 win against the lower-ranked Bambitious N. (#6, 18-42). Ehime needs these victories very badly if they think about taking over top position in West. Their record at this point is 38 victories and 22 lost games. Watt has a very solid season. In 59 games in Japan he scored 16.4ppg. He also has 7.8rpg, 4.1apg, 1.1bpg and a FGP of 55.3%.
