American James Bell (196-SF-1992, agency: Slash Sports) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for Pass lab Yamagata Wyverns, receiving a Hoops Agents B2 League Player of the Week award for round 58.
The 33-year old player had a double-double of 37 points and 11 rebounds, while his team beat Shizuoka (#7, 14-44) 90-84. Wyverns maintains the 5th position in their group in the Japanese B2 League. Too late to salvage the team, which is currently ranked such low. They already lost 43 games and recorded just fifteen victories. Bell has many years of experience at Wyverns, through which he has constantly improved. James Bell averages this season 16.5ppg, 6.4rpg and 4.2apg.

The second best player in last round's games was young American Jaemyn Brakefield (203-F-2000, agency: Slash Sports) of Bambitious Nara. Brakefield had a very good evening with a double-double of 25 points and 15 rebounds. Of course Nara cruised to a 84-72 relatively comfortable win over slightly higher-ranked Kagoshima (#4, 26-31). Bambitious's 6th position in West has not changed. His team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 18-40 record. Brakefield is a newcomer at Bambitious, but is already one of team's top players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 23.2ppg (#2). His other stats are also decent: 7.4rpg and 3.2apg.

Third on the list of top players last round was American forward Clay Mounce (199-F-1998, agency: Slash Sports) of Iwate Big Bulls (#6). Mounce got into 30-points club by scoring 36 points in the last round. He went also for ten rebounds . He was a key player of Big Bulls, leading his team to a 77-68 win against slightly higher-ranked Fukui B. (#4, 34-24). Iwate can only dream about fighting for top spots in East. They have rather bad season and 14-44 record places them close to the bottom of the standings. Mounce has individually a great season in Japan. After 52 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 21.3ppg (4th best).

The Player of the week is selected based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3*(REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4*(2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3*(2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3*(3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
