American Power forward Yoeli Childs (203-PF-1998) had a very impressive game in the last round for top-ranked Kobe Storks, receiving a Hoops Agents B2 League Player of the Week award for round 55.
The 27-year old player was the main contributor (30 points, nine rebounds and seven assists) to his team's victory, helping them to beat Kagoshima (#4, 25-30) 123-118. It allowed Storks to consolidate first place in the Japanese B2 League. Kobe S. has a very good season and are considered to have a run for the championship title. They improved their record to 51-5. In the team's last game Childs had a remarkable 62.5% from 2-point range. He turned to be Storks's top player in his first season with the team. Former Brigham Young University star has very solid stats this year. Childs is in league's top in points (3rd best: 21.2ppg) and averages impressive 55.1% FGP.

The second best player in last round's games was young American Anthony Gaines Jr. (195-G/F-1993) of Kagoshima Rebnise. Gaines Jr. had a very good evening with 28 points, 8 rebounds and 8 assists. Bad luck as Rebnise lost that game 118-123 to the higher-ranked Kobe S. (#1, 51-5). It was definitely game of the week between two contenders to the top position in West. Kagoshima still maintains its place in the top 4 of the standings, even despite this loss. His team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 25-30 record. Gaines Jr. is one of the most experienced players at Kagoshima and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 17.5ppg (#9). His other stats are also decent: 8.1rpg and 4.1apg.

Third on the list of top players last round was American center Wayne Marshall (211-C-1986) of league's top team Shinshu Brave Warriors Nagano. Marshall got into 30-points club by scoring exactly 30 points in the last round. He was a key player of Brave Warriors, leading his team to a 86-78 win against the lower-ranked Iwate (#7, 12-44). Shinshu confirms their top position in East. Their record at this point is 43 victories and 13 lost games. Marshall has a very solid season. In 49 games in Japan he scored 12.5ppg. He also has 6.8rpg, 1.2bpg and a FGP of 63.9%.
