The game between third ranked SeaHorses (34-15) and eighth ranked SunRockers (20-29) was the most important one in the last round on Sunday night. SeaHorses were defeated by SunRockers in Tokyo 94-84. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of SeaHorses. Sunrockers Sh. made 21-of-25 free shots (84.0 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists. International forward Josh Hawkinson (208-1995, college: WSU) stepped up and scored 21 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists for the winners and Brazilian guard Didi Louzada (195-1999) chipped in 26 points and 5 rebounds. At the losing side point guard Satoshi Nagano (175-1995) responded with 22 points. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Sunrockers Sh. moved-up to seventh place, which they share with Yokohama BC. Sea Horses M. at the other side keeps the third position with 15 games lost. They share it with Ryukyu. Sunrockers Sh. is looking forward to face Kawasaki (#12) in Kanagawa in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Sea Horses M. will play at home against Hiroshima D. (#6) and is hoping to win this game.
B1 League top team - Velca (40-9) managed to deliver another win. This time they beat twelfth ranked Fighting Eagles (16-33) in Nagasaki 99-88. American Stanley Johnson (201-1996, college: Arizona) nailed 28 points, 6 rebounds and 8 assists for the winning side and Hyunjung Lee accounted for 18 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists. American power forward Sean OMara (208-1995, college: Xavier, agency: Diamond Sports) came up with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 10 rebounds (perfect from the field making all seven shots !!!) for FE Nagoya in the defeat. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Velca have an impressive series of six victories in a row. Nagasaki maintains first place with 40-9 record. FE Nagoya lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the tenth position with 33 games lost. They share it with Kyoto H. and Chiba. Nagasaki will play against San-en NP (#5) in Hamamatsu in the next round. FE Nagoya will play at home against Shiga L-Stars (#10) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
B1 League top team - Tochigi Brex (37-12) managed to deliver another win on Sunday. This time they beat eleventh ranked Hannaryz (16-33) 89-77. Americans were the main players on the court. Grant Jerrett fired 29 points for the winners. Charles Jackson produced 14 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists for lost side. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. The victory was the third consecutive win for Tochigi Brex. Defending champion maintains first place with 37-12 record. Loser Hannaryz dropped to the tenth position with 33 games lost. They share it with FE Nagoya and Chiba. Tochigi Brex will meet at home Alvark Tokyo (#4) in the next round. Kyoto H. will play against the league's second-placed Nagoya DD (#2) and hope to secure a win.

There were no shocking results in the rest of the games of round 49: Akita NH lost to Alvark Tokyo on the opponent's court 72-86. Kawasaki managed to outperform Yokohama BC in a home game 82-75. Toyama G. was rolled over Nagoya DD on the road 91-58. Hiroshima D. was defeated by Chiba Jets on its own court 96-100. San-en NP was beaten by Ibaraki R. in Mito 84-82. Koshigaya A. won against Osaka E. at home 84-77. Hokkaido L. unfortunately lost to Ryukyu on the opponent's court 82-91. Sendai 89ers rolled over Saga B. in a home game 87-66. Chiba was defeated by Shiga L-Stars on the road 79-64. Shimane SM was beaten by Gunma CT on its own court 65-81.
The most impressive stats of the last round was 22 points and 5 rebounds by Makoto Hiejima of Tochigi Brex.

Very expected game in Tokyo where 13th ranked Happinets (8-41) were defeated by fourth ranked Alvark (32-17) 86-72 on Sunday. Alvark Tokyo looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. B1 League top team - Tochigi Brex (37-12) managed to deliver another win on Sunday. This time they beat eleventh ranked Hannaryz (16-33) 89-77. Tochigi Brex looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Americans were the main players on the court. Center Grant Jerrett (208-1993, college: Arizona) fired 29 points for the winners. Guard DJ Newbill (193-1992, college: Penn State) chipped in 23 points. Center Charles Jackson (208-1993, college: Tenn Tech) produced 14 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists and power forward Jordan Heath (208-1991, college: Canisius, agency: Octagon Europe) added 14 points and 7 rebounds respectively for lost side. Five Kyoto H. players scored in double figures. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. The victory was the third consecutive win for Tochigi Brex. Defending champion maintains first place with 37-12 record. Loser Hannaryz dropped to the tenth position with 33 games lost. They share it with FE Nagoya and Chiba. Tochigi Brex will meet at home Alvark Tokyo (#4) in the next round. Kyoto H. will play against the league's second-placed Nagoya DD (#2) and hope to secure a win.
